The European Commission published on Tuesday plans to integrate the UN Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 into EU policy over the next few years

The European Commission published on Tuesday plans to integrate the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for 2030 into EU policy over the next few years.

The programme implementing the goals comes more than a year after they were adopted at a UN summit in New York. The document offers little in the way of new, concrete policy changes to speed up the implementation of the 17 SDG goals, which cover fields such as climate action, clean energy and sustainable cities.
