Member states are considering action to support the voluntary EU Ecolabel scheme after leaked documents revealed that the European Commission may scrap it, ENDS has learned.

A ”majority of EU countries” – including Italy, Austria, the Netherlands, France, Spain, the UK, Belgium and Denmark – voiced concerns over the Commission’s leaked plans at this week’s meeting of the EU Ecolabelling Board (EUEB), according to a source present at the meeting.
