Ahead of the publication of the European Commission’s Winter Package tomorrow (Wednesday), NGOs and MEPs are warning that they expect it to “fall well short” of the EU action needed to tackle climate change.

The package is a key part of the Energy Union strategy and will determine energy policy until 2030, covering energy market design, support for renewable energy and energy efficiency targets among other things.
