The pressure group Health and Environment Alliance (HEAL) has called on lawmakers to push the EU executive to clarify its plans to limit the harm caused by endocrine disrupting chemicals, on the eve of a public hearing with the European Parliament's environment committee.

HEAL argued that plans outlined by the European Commission in a communication last November lack “concrete measures and timelines on how people and the environment can be better protected”, in an open letter sent to MEPs on Monday.
