Investors in corporate bonds should be more assiduous in screening companies for their environmental and climate impact, campaigners said on Thursday as they published a survey of investor attitudes.

Moreover, bondholders should work collaboratively to engage with high-carbon emitters and polluters, “just as shareholders in such companies are already doing”, the pressure group ShareAction said. It also recommends initiating a process that drives public engagement where necessary.
