Campaigners call for corporate reporting rules on sustainability to be tightened

Mandatory sustainability indicators and an alignment of corporate and global sustainability targets should be reflected in the EU's framework for corporate reporting, campaigners, public and industry leaders said in Brussels on Friday.

In the light of the Paris agreement and the SDGs targets, “we have publicly agreed global targets and now we need to make sure companies would integrate this into their own business models”, WWF economist Sebastien Godinot said at a forum on corporate disclosure.
