Campaigners have called on the EU executive to publish an overdue 'strategy for a non-toxic environment' ahead of this year's European elections, outlining how the EU could tackle risks for humans and animals from chemical exposure.
In a letter released Tuesday, an alliance of European NGOs called for a clear timeline and indicators to “make sure that these topics remain a priority for the next Commission”, which is due to take office in November.
