The European biodiesel industry has warned of “catastrophic” consequences for the green economy and jobs unless the EU Commission protects the sector from unfair exports from Argentina.

The warning comes ahead of a meeting of member states representatives on Wednesday at the trade defence (TDI) committee of the Commission to discuss an investigation by the executive into allegations that the Argentinian government is unfairly subsidising its biofuels industry.
