Environmental groups have criticised the one-page declaration issued by G7 leaders for failing to mention climate change, despite a separate pledge of aid to counter the destruction of the Amazon rainforest. 

Published following the G7 summit in Biarritz over the weekend, the declaration includes references to trade, Iran, Ukraine, Libya and Hong Kong, but does not discuss UN climate summit planned on September 23 in New York.
