As the European Commission unveils its latest Ecodesign measures to promote product recycling and repairability, the European Environment Agency (EEA) has said that circular economy initiatives are still “young and diverse”, requiring better monitoring. 

In a report published on Tuesday, the agency notes that European companies are increasingly adopting circular business models, but that they tend to focus on operational efficiency and waste reduction.
