EU commissioner-designate for energy, Kadri Simson, was pressed during a parliamentary hearing for her own opinion on her government decision back the EU’s call for a 2050 climate neutrality target.
German EPP lawmaker Peter Liese called on the former energy minister to give her “personal position” on the U-turn by the Estonian government, tone of four to reject a binding 2050 target to achieve net-zero CO2 emissions.
