Outgoing transport commissioner Violeta Bulc has unveiled plans to support 39 infrastructure projects across the EU with €117 million in funding, saying the money targets sustainable transport, despite some being allocated to natural gas infrastructure.

Announcing the Commission's funding recommendations, which must now be signed off by member states, Bulc said the money “gives a further push to the transition to low-emission mobility across Europe – starting with our railways and our ports”.
