The climate crisis could play a decisive role in the forthcoming UK general election, according to an opinion poll published after British lawmakers voted for a 12 December ballot. 

Members of the UK parliament have agreed legislation to hold an election in an attempt to break the deadlock over Brexit.

A new poll shows 70% of the UK public believe the climate crisis requires more urgent action and 63% say it is the biggest issue facing humanity.
