Nordic ministers pledge more climate collaboration after Thunberg snub

Nordic environment ministers have said they will work more closely on climate and ocean issues, while youth activist Greta Thunberg accused the region of not doing enough

Nordic environment ministers have said they will work more closely on climate issues and ocean sustainability after meeting this week, following criticism of the region’s efforts by youth activist Greta Thunberg.

The ministers agreed on Wednesday to intensify their work with the marine conventions OSPAR and HELCOM, which deal with environmental issues in the North Atlantic and the Baltic respectively, as well as with the Arctic Council.
