Climate campaigners have slammed EU government ministers for their “underwhelming” response to auditors’ warning over a slowdown in renewables capacity installation.

Employment and social policy ministers at the Council of the EU said on Thursday that they took “good note of the conclusions and recommendations” of the report published in June by the  European Court of Auditors (ECA).
