The EU, China and other countries have joined forces to draw up new rules for trillions of dollars of private sector investment required to meet the Paris climate agreement commitments

The EU, China and other countries have joined forces to draw up new rules for trillions of dollars of private sector investment required to meet the Paris climate agreement commitments.

The new International Platform on Sustainable Finance was launched on Friday at the annual meeting of the IMF in Washington DC and also includes Argentina, Chile, Canada, Kenya and Morocco.

The platform will act as a forum for collaboration and cooperation across jurisdictions to scale up efforts to mobilise investment.
