A new survey has revealed that only 13 out of 132 of the world’s largest energy companies are committed to reaching net zero emissions.
Researchers from top UK universities and research institutes found that just three coal mining companies, nine electricity companies, and one oil and gas producer have set a date for reaching carbon neutrality.
A majority of those companies are headquartered in the EU, including EDF, Enel, Ørsted, Iberdrola and CEZ Group.
