Waste water service providers join call to ban PFAS

European water service providers have joined the call to ban PFAS, as pressure mounts to end the use of harmful per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances in Europe.

EurEau, the group representing national associations of water services, said it supports PFAS restriction, saying the effects of their emissions on water quality and drinking water resources should have “a more prominent position” in EU chemicals regulation REACH.
