Covid-19: Timmermans emphatic that Green Deal will not be sidelined

The European Green Deal is not a luxury that can be shelved in the midst of the coronavirus crisis, European Commission vice-president Frans Timmermans said on Monday, while angrily dismissing attempts by lobbyists to use Covid-19 as an “excuse” to back pedal.
