Lead MEP proposes doubling of EU emissions reduction rate

Europe must set an interim target of a 65% cut in annual greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 if it is to achieve its goal of climate neutrality by mid-century, social democrat MEP Jytte Guteland has said in her draft environment committee report on the EU Climate Law proposal.
