French citizens hand over climate action recommendations

A panel of French citizens has called for “very strongly” penalising drivers of polluting cars, combating urban sprawl, boosting organic farming and phasing out pesticides by 2040, with president Emmanuel Macron set to respond to the recommendations next Monday.
