Environment Council: Member states welcome ‘green recovery’, but split over 2030 climate goal

EU member states remain divided over proposals to increase the bloc’s 2030 emissions reduction target, a meeting of environment ministers on Tuesday showed, although there is broad agreement on plans to rebuild the economy in line with the European Green Deal.
