Gas industry urges rapid rollout of CCS to aid growth of hydrogen economy

A hydrogen economy must be developed in the 2020s – including so-called ‘blue hydrogen’ produced from natural gas through the use of carbon capture and storage – if Europe is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, a trade association representing dozens of European gas companies has said.
