Spanish court allows unlawful development to remain on Natura network site

The Extremadura high court last week ruled that an unlawful housing development in a Natura 2000 site should remain because the €33m demolition bill would entail “an unacceptable cost to the regional government” during “a situation of terrible economic uncertainty”.
