MEPs demand Merkel ‘match words with action’ over green recovery

Access to a multi-billion euro EU recovery fund should be tied to governments’ commitment to achieving climate neutrality by 2050 and contributing to meeting a tougher 2030 emissions reduction target, a cross-party group from the European Parliament's environment committee have told German chancellor Angela Merkel.
