Europe must use trade might to tackle illegal deforestation abroad, say scientists

Around 20% of Brazil’s soy exports and 17% of its beef exports to the EU could be “contaminated” by illegal deforestation, according to a study that calls for Europe to use its trade might to help roll back the ”tragic dismantling of Brazil’s environmental protection”.
