Campaigners welcome MEPs’ support for deforestation-free supply chains

The European Commission should present a binding legal framework to halt and reverse EU-driven global deforestation by preventing forest-risk commodities entering the bloc, the European Parliament’s environment committee has agreed, in a move supported by green groups.
