EPP climate coordinator justifies group position on 2030 climate target

The European People's Party agreed this week to back a proposal to greenhouse gas output to 55% below 1990 levels, the group’s environment coordinator announced on Friday, but he cautioned his political opponents against pushing for higher ambition.
