Preem, a petroleum company, has decided to withdraw its permit application for a planned expansion of the Lysekil oil refinery in Sweden, in the wake of a pandemic-induced drop in fuel demand, while citing long-term ambitions within the petroleum industry to pivot towards renewable fuels.
