Plastic waste: EU at risk of a surge in illegal disposal, auditors warn

Criminal operators are likely to step in next year when global restrictions on plastic waste exports take effect, with Europe already way off track to meet its medium term recycling targets for packaging, the EU Court of Auditors said on Tuesday.
