EU governments agree to ban pesticide mancozeb from next year

European governments have agreed to withdraw EU approval for the widely used organic fungicide mancozeb, among the most commonly applied arable crop pesticides of any kind, after a qualified majority of delegates agreed not to renew authorisation.
