Committee vote puts EU on track to support fossil gas in ‘green recovery’

Energy firms should be able to finance gas infrastructure projects through the planned €672.5bn Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), the European Parliament’s economy and budget committees have agreed, prompting sharp criticism from climate campaigners.
