Commission under growing pressure over direction of CAP talks

The European Commission has been forced to defend its decision to press on with negotiations over reforms to the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) even as senior officials acknowledge positions taken by the EU Council and Parliament are not in line with environmental goals.
