Interview: A place for metal ore mining in Europe as green deal takes shape

Guy Thiran, director general of Eurometaux, a trade association that bills itself as “the decisive voice of non-ferrous metals producers and recyclers in Europe”, talks to ENDS Europe about why Europe should exploit its own reserves of metal ore and keep recycling close to home, and also why the industry is concerned about the EU chemicals strategy and “regulatory bottlenecks”.
