Scientists question reach of EU court ruling on gene editing

A European Court of Justice (ECJ) ruling that crops developed using novel gene editing techniques should be treated as genetically modified organisms might not apply as broadly as initially thought, a group of biologists argue in a paper published on Wednesday.
