Spain slams Energy Charter Treaty as incompatible with EU climate goals

Madrid has joined a growing chorus of criticism among EU governments of the Energy Charter Treaty (ECT) describing it as incompatible with the Paris agreement, the European Green Deal and 2050 carbon neutrality in a written parliamentary reply made public this week.
