Commission considers ‘flexible systems’ for sustainable food production

Environmental campaigners and the farming lobby were at odds on Tuesday over how the European Commission should legislate to cut pesticide across Europe, at a conference that coincided with the launch of a consultation on plans reforms to the EU’s Sustainable Use of Pesticides Directive.
