Hamburg coal plant to be repurposed as ‘mega-electrolyser’

A coalition of major industrial corporations have announced their intent to construct one of the largest green hydrogen plants in the world on the site of the controversial Moorburg coal-fired power station, which opened only five years ago and last month secured state funding for early retirement.
