Timmermans promises ‘surgical’ carbon border tax

The European Commission will propose a highly targeted carbon border adjustment mechanism (CBAM) this year that will focus on imports from countries that are not acting to reach climate neutrality by mid-century, green deal chief Frans Timmermans has said.
