EU looks to avert disaster as impact of climate change intensifies

The European Commission has unveiled a new climate change adaptation strategy promising a move “from planning to implementation” as the EU faces the reality of increasingly frequent extreme weather events linked to the damage already wrought on the earth’s atmosphere.
