Chemicals industry says F-gas smuggling could scupper EU climate targets

The chemical industry body EFCTC today published findings of data analysis which it says shows illegal hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) equivalent to up to 31 million tonnes of CO2 were smuggled across EU borders in 2019, emissions of which would have a major climate impact.
