EU urged to increase climate ambition as UN warns Paris targets still out of reach

With a report from the UN revealing global emissions reduction pledges to date fall far short of the ambition needed to avoid catastrophic climate change, critics have warned that the EU, which has been commended for its target to reduce carbon emissions by 55% by 2030, needs to go further.
