Timmermans: ‘No need for developing countries to hugely increase carbon footprints’

European Commission vice-president Frans Timmermans has queried India’s energy minister’s suggestion that it was inevitable that emissions from developing countries would increase as their economies grow and demand for steel, cement and a higher standard of living rises.
