Leaked EU Forest Strategy: 12 things you need to know

A leaked draft of the European Commission’s upcoming Forest Strategy promises to ‘minimise’ the use of wood for energy purposes. Official publication is slated for 20 July, six days after the massive ‘fit for 55’ package of climate and energy proposals. Here’s what you need to know.
