Parliament approves EU net-zero goal amid concerns over scale of ambition

In a plenary vote on Thursday, MEPs gave final approval to the EU’s goal of reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, as the Green group warned the target was not enough to keep climate change in check.
