Fit for 55: Commission proposes €72.2bn Social Climate Fund help low-income households

The European Commission has proposed a new multi-billion fund aimed to help low-income and vulnerable households weather potential energy bill increases from new carbon pricing for buildings in a move aimed at staving off public resistance to a more ambitious climate policy.
