Spanish government approves tender for localised radioactive waste storage

Long-standing confusion and controversy surrounding plans for the storage of high-level waste from Spain’s nuclear plants have increased after the government announced a tender to build localised temporary high-level waste storage facilities (ATIs) at four nuclear plants.
