Spain launches €1.5 billion recovery funding programme for national LEZ implementation

The Spanish transport ministry yesterday launched a programme to use €1.5 billion in EU recovery and resilience funding over two years to help municipal authorities create low emissions zones (LEZs) in all urban areas with over 50,000 people by 2023 as mandated by Spain’s new climate change law.
