Member states urged to back Commission’s proposal on suspected EDC

Health and environment groups have given their backing to the European Commission’s proposal to identify resorcinol – commonly used in acne medication, hair dyes and flame retardants – as an endocrine disruptor, amid concerns that member states will block the move at a meeting later this month.
