Changes to genetic modification rules ‘cross red lines’, campaigners say

The European Commission could introduce “unacceptable risks to human and animal health and the environment” if it follows through with mooted plans to exempt new gene editing techniques from its genetic modification (GM) rules, a coalition of campaigners has warned.
